                                *The Worth Of A New Guardian*

*Before she was blasted, Sean notice a book coming out of her cloak and as it opens and began to flip through its pages the blast from the magic cylinder some how hits the open book burning of all its pages* *Sean* What the hell is that? *he Blinks as he notices her flying back and hitting the tree behind her and he braces from the dust cloud passing over him, he then coughs as he watches where she's was tossed before the dust finally settling while the whole academy looking in surprise and fight of the scene as Sean runs over to her*  *Sean* Damn, i hope she's all right... *As the dust fades, Sean hears her voice and he slows down with a sigh of relief before noticing how she looked and gasping*  *Sean* A-Aarya... Are. Are you. You're really...? *he Blinks as he stand with stammering look in his eyes as the rest of the students screamed and ran from the scene with Draxen still looking with a focused look*  *Sean* What the hell are you?! *Aarya* Stay back!!  Reirrab Salg!!! *when she says the strange word a clear honeycomb like barrier forms around her and then she gets into a defensive stance and holds her hand and two fingers to her side as electricity starts to run around her fingers*   *Aarya* don't come any closer to me!!*Sean* Whoa, hold up. I'm not here to- *he Jumps back and yelp as her barrier comes up around her before he and it was a real barrier instead of projection, then he notices her stand defensively and he looks in shock at her fingers as they start to surge with electricity*  *Sean* Whoa whoa, calm down! Don't stress over this, just tell me what's going on! *Aarya* calm down? yeah right!! do you think I'm stupid or something are something?? I know how your kind does to things they don't understand your going to wait tell my guard is down and then tranquilize me and then send me off to a lap to be experimented on or give me to one of your circuses to be in one of its freak shows, well you know what this is one faerie dragon that's not going to get skinned!! *the electricity running around her fingers starts to surge violently* *Sean* No, you're not. and You ain't stupid ether, but you're getting reckless. Plus how the hell do you expect us to do those things to you if you aren't even. Ya know. aren't you taking this a little to seriously? Plus skinning you, why would we do that? Boars and pigs are all we skin here, *He Notices her electricity escalate as he move back more* *Sean* and take it easy with that would ya? *Aarya* LIES!! I know how your kind are I've read about you and what do you to other things I know everything its all in... *she looks over to her now destroyed book on the ground*  *Aarya* well it was in my book over there but that doesn't matter anymore your not taking me!! *she gets ready to hit him with what she had charging up in her hand that was making the electricity run around her fingers, when she starts to feel something wet run down her chests and then something run down over her eye when she goes and wipes it out of her eye she finally sees that it was blood then she feels the back of her head and her hand hits something small but hard that was sticking out of the back of her head and it hurt badly when she touch it she then drops to her knees and then falls onto her chest and her eyes rolls back into her head and her barrier fades and she loses consciousness*  *Aarya* ..m..  .o..  .m.. ..he...lp..   m..e.. .... ... ...  *when she collapses to the ground Sean see two mediums size fragments of wood sticking out of the back of Aarya's head and upper shoulder close to her neck* *Sean* What do you mean lies?! *he Growls and then facepalms*  *Sean* Plus you don't know how this generation works since you have no clue of the new things that we do, and who wants to take you? Not anyone here that's for sure, I'll bet! *he then sees her getting ready to attack as she stands with the electricity running around in her hand, then he notices her wipe the blood off her eye and as she does this he sees the wounds the moment he tilts his head to the side to see where the blood was coming from *Sean* Holy, shit that really looks bad! *he then sees her collapse before he rushs over to her and picks her up and carries her to the nurse's room, being mindful of the pieces of wood sticking out behind her head and upper shoulder* *Sean* Hold on Aarya! *After navigating through the compound, he recognizes the path to Maria's office while he thought about what just happened" *Sean* A strange dragon girl, magical barriers and species bias? What the hell is she thinking? I was only trying to help!" *Maria was in her office setting with her legs up on her desk sleeping on the job thanks to the strangely slow work day she was having she was only woken up by the thought of that strange hooded little girl she met on her way to work today she smiles and giggles when she thought about how cute and strangely awkward Aarya was with not wearing any shoes and running around the City by herself in the rain with out an umbrella along with that strange get up she was wearing* *Sean thinks to himself* "Still though, how the hell did she turn human before her hood came off? Plus she was naked this entire time?!" *As he navigates through compound to find Maria, Sean's footsteps could be heard echoing as he ran through the hallways on his way to Maria's med bay as he ran he calls Maria and her phone soon goes off as he calls her with his ear piece* *Maria jumps when her phone goes off and she almost falls out of her chair when it does she then hits the button on her ear piece to answer her phone*  *Maria* Marionette here what body part can we remove for you day? an arm a leg or maybe both or maybe your in the mood for a good embalming~  *she says jokingly* *After hearing her answer, he slows down when he hears the "Body parts" comment and then comes to a complete stop before growling annoyingly at her responds*  *Sean Now Is Not the time Mary! I've got a situation, can you get the door? Plus work on something better, that joke is SO 8 months ago! *She stretches out a little and slowly gets up and starts to walk to the door to open it*  *Maria* oh Sean don't be that way its only been 5 days since iv started using that anyway what do you need sweetie no!! don't tell me you over did it again on one of the students and they need a little patch up? WHAT THE HALL KIND JOKE IS THIS??? GET THIS CROCODILE OUT OF HERE THIS IS A HOSPITAL NOT THE VET!! *Sean* I didn't butcher, more like punctured. Anyways, *he Turns to Maria as she approached* *Sean* you might wanna brace yourself. *After he take's Aarya's hood off of her Sean jump when Maria spat her lemonade on him from her seeing how Aarya really looked Sean the shaking off the lemonade and sighs This ain't no crocodile, her mouth ain't even wide like how a croaodile's mouth is. and If you've seen the duel, you'll know what I'm talking about. he wipes the rest of the lemonade off of his face and onto the floor and looks back up at Maria and sigh*  *Sean* Plus nice shot...*Maria* anyway crocodile or not I'm sorry sweetie but this still isn't a  Veterinary Hospital there's nothing I can do for it here love I don't have the medicines or the equipment to accommodate it and you need to stop bring things like this to me and expect me to be able to help love I'm not a veterinarian... *Sean* Yeah, i know but we're not leaving her out there. The whole campus saw, and just use something to accommodate the lack of proper medication in this facility. Plus i get that animals can't be cared for but we have to try, and we have the money to hire one if we find a great qualified vet honey. *Maria sigh and pets Sean but turns and starts to walk back to her front desk*  *Maria* I'm sorry Sean.. there's nothing I can do for it I'm sorry... and by the look of them wood fragments in it, its not going to make it very long.. I'm sorry but I'm.. going to have to ask you to let it go.. love..  *as Maria was heading back to her desk she hears a familiar voice that she heard from earlier that day*  *Aarya*.. .. mo..n do.nt .. let.. th..em   ...hur...t ...  m.e...  *Maria stops and turns around and quickly walks back over to the creature and she looks at it then she reaches down and slowly picks up the hood part of the cloak and looks at it and sees the symbol on it and remembers that's it looks just like the symbol that was on Aarya's hood Maria then looks up at Sean but with out saying a thing she grabs the stretcher and rushes it into the Infirmary and looks the door and turns on the red in surgery light over the door* *he Gasps as she pets him before she returned to her desk, then he clenches his fist when she said there's nothing she could do before looking back to Aarya*  *Sean* Like hell I'll let it go, I'm not letting someone die from my mistake! *he Looks over at Maria and growls at her before hearing Aarya speak, he then gasps and looks back down at Aarya before hearing Maria returning quickly and he looks back over at Maria while she checks Aarya's cloak and notices the symbol as well* *Sean* Is that's her home symbol or something? *he then Notices Maria look back up at him before she take Aarya's stretcher to the infirmary, then he sees the red light come one before he looks through the window of the doors* *Sean* Somehow i knew that she would have second thoughts. *it seems like hour went by as Sean sets and watched the red surgery light of the Infirmary waiting for news on Aarya's condition the light soon turns green and a tried and bloody Maria comes out of the Infirmary and walks right by Sean on her way to wash up and change*  *Maria* I... I did all I could for her sweetie its up to her now.. *as she walks pass him she gives him Aarya things along with her folded bloody cloak* *time passed as the operation is underway while Sean waits and watches for the red surgery light to turn green, he notices it switch after an hour or more before seeing Maria covered in blood and sweat as she steps out with Aarya's cloak and things before Sean hears her comment he sighs*  *Sean* I hope that. You did more than would you could on our previous students love... *she stops after Sean call her love and mentioned the last student that was in her care that was in bad shape* *Maria*.. I told you not to call me that Sean I only do it for fun... and why did you have to bring that back up again? you act like I could have done something back then to save them I'm sorry I knew they wore your close friend but I couldn't do anything we didn't have the stuff to deal with that at that time and they were human nothing what she.. is I did what I could I cant do anything more and .. why why do you make it sound like I'm the bad guy for what happen to Rebecca I'm sorry I couldn't save her.. but that doesn't mean you can make me feel like I'm not good enough to be doctor anymore... but you should go see her if that thing in there is really who it feels like it is.. *she turns around and leaves* *After Maria stops turns around upon Sean mentioning the last student,that was unable to recover and Sean still couldnt get over the loss of still to this day even after the two of them began hanging out after tragedy* *Sean* The doctors should have found the solution faster, she would have been alive. *After Maria mentions Rebecca, Sean starts having an anxiety attack after remembering Rebecca's last breath before Sean drops to his knees as Maria turns around to leave once she mentioned the unnecessary comment Sean out of grief yells and kicks in one of the file cabinets when Maria called Aarya a thing*  *Sean* Fine, but she's more than a reptile. Ya know that Mary, you heard her too! *Maria keeps walking*  *Maria* I know she is more then a reptile she talked that whole time she was in there before I sedated her I know Sean.. but you really should go see her Aarya I mean because she well never wake back up if she don't feel safe.. * Maria stops at the Sanitation room and looks back over at Sean*  *Maria* Sean.. you know.. I still blame myself for Rebecca's death... you don't have to rub that failure in my face all the time I mess up.. I .. I know..  *she then walks into the Sanitation room* *Sean* Wait a minute, you got her to talk before you gave her the shot Maria? Damn, and I'll make sure to talk to her then. Leave it to me. *he Heads into the recovery room and approach Aarya after Maria left to wash up he then spoke to himself in thought*  *Sean* "Sorry about those things i said, it's just. I can't get over what happened. Hopefully I'll try to make up for it soon..." *When Maria finally gets into the Sanitation room after talking to Sean she breaks down into the floor and starts to cry* *Maria* I'm.. so.. so very sorry Sean ... Rebecca...  *meanwhile back in the recovery room when Sean gets in she sees Aarya laying in one of the beds and she was hooked up to life support system to keep her going while she healed her head and upper shoulder were bandage now that she was resting Sean was finally about to talk to her and see her for what she really was a Dragon child* *After Maria got into the sanitation room, Sean look over to Aarya in the recovery room in one of the beds under life support*  *Sean* My god...  *he Notices where her is bandages are before he even notices her dragon form in full view as he approaches her*  *Sean* So, this is you huh Aarya? *her heart monitor starts to beep a little faster and she starts to move her head from side to side and soon she starts to sweat as her heart monitor starts beeping rapidly* *Aarya* s..s... so..me. b..o..d.y..  ...h..e...l..p....     .....m..    .m   e....  *Sean Gasps as he hears her the heart monitor beeping faster before he sees l her jerking back and forth in her sleep, her then sees her sweating and the sweat causes her scales to shine before he runs over to her and grabs her claw and trys to calm her down*  *Sean* Aarya, can you hear me? *Aarya* mo...Mom.. Uncle... Auntie....  Grandpa...  SAVE ME!! *she  screams as she continues to  jerk her head back and forth in her coma like panic before she grabs the sides of the bed before she lefts her pelvic and chests up in pain before she drops back down and doesn't more anymore and her monitor goes flat* *Sean* What the hell, is she calling her- *he holds his ears and Braces from her loud screams as he does this he sees her jerk about with her gripping the sides of her bed as she looks like her was being attacked, then her notices her collapse before hearing her the heart monitor and he gasps before preforming CPR* *Sean* No no, no no no NO!!! Don't you DIE on me! dont die on me like Rebecca did!!! *as Sean was preforming CPR on Aarya the room slowly starts going dark darker yet darker around him even thro he was to busy trying to save Aarya to notice*  *???-???* you don't even care about this child of a drake yet you still try why we know that you are only doing this because you feel not only responsible but guilty. guilty for letting your first love die now your trying to find Redemption from that by saving this child of the drake but alas she is already mine consumed by her own fears her fears of you and what your kind well do to her so her in this dark place her hope well be laid to rest and its all happen by your own hands *As he continues performing CPR to save Aarya, he starts to notice the room beganing to grow darker as he looks around after tilting he head up to see things looking off before hearing voices while continuing to work on Aarya*  *Sean* Shut up, my pain is my own and you don't deserve to mention it! Plus if fear is what's consuming her, then I'm here to prevent that takeover. Her hope is NOT going anywhere, so shove it up your bum... *soon Sean's arm begans to glow as it reacts to the energy around him*  *Sean* And leave this dragon Alone you clod! *the room goes black and a dark light shines on Aarya's chest before rising up and blowing Sean off and way from Aarya the blow knocks him against the wall as everything in the room disappears and soon Aarya herslef is drawed into the dark light* *???-???* your pain is not your own your a fool to believe that you share that pain with the young doctor not only that you make her out to be the one that cause you that pain and give her constant reminders of her failure now you think you can just throw that selfish part of you away and stand resolute for this child of a drake knowing that the condition she is in now this also your doing but you still fight for her Hope even when you don't know who or what she is if you do intend on saving her then i well gauge your worth *As he notices the dark light shine over Aarya, he braces as the force knocks him away form Aarya as the Dark shining light absorbs Aarya into its self yet Sean was able to roll to his feet but still ends up hitting the wall before being knocked out from the force of the hit he soon wakes up minutes later and hears a coarse and deep voice*  *Sean* You don't know my pain if you didnt even get to experience it like i did, and how can i live with myself knowing that i couldnt help her... help Rebecca! Those reminders weren't for her, but i want to actually remind Maria that Rebecca hads enough company for now and doesnt need to have Aarya join her.... Plus your saying that I'm selfish by standing with Aarya knowing her condition is my fault and yet still fight for her, yes it is my fault that she is in this condition becuase i didnt make her feel safe and i didnt know that our dual would cause her to get hurt.. but even if it was my fault for not holding back and for calling her them things when i found out she wasn't even human i well still fight for her. to my last breath if thats what is takes to get her back!! *Ecnelis* then come Summoner from another world prove to me that you are worthy to be her guardian!! *the Dark shining light moves to the other side of the now Devoided and Black as night room and it soon forms into the shape of a futuristic armored Black Knight*   *Ecnelis* come child show me your worth!!  *it says as its duel disk flies out of its arm* *Sean* Thats the pot calling the kettle black, you're the one from another world. Anyways, I'm in it to win it. *he Notices the dark light move to the over side of devoid and black room before it became a bipedal like form* *Sean* Whoa, that's. That's cool. *Sean then see the Kinghts duel disk come out and he Nods before holding out his own arm and some how his duel disk surprisingly shoots onto his arm and activates* *Sean* Huh, that actually works. *Ecnelis laughs when Sean falls right into her trap by holding out her arm*  *Ecnelis* haahaa you fool you fell right into it now your mine! *as Ecnelis says this Sean's duel disk deck and duel gazer starts to transform tell Sean's duel gazer turns into a Rune Circlet and his duel disk became a Rune Gauntlet and finally his deck of cards turns into Rune Stones and along with that a strange satchel Bag appears on him and his Life points appears on the chest band and the stones that was use to be his deck make there why into the satchel's pouches, Ecnelis laughs again*  *Ecnelis* now.. YOU FACE ME AS A TURE SUMMONER!! *Sean* All right, time to-wait. What did you- *Sean Feels a sharp pain as his gazer and disk turned into a circlet and gauntlet and respectively, Sean's brand reacting to the change in power as his gear and setup shifts to at of a summoner style pouch gear*  *Sean* Wait, hold on! True summoner, but most importantly?... *He Jumps with arms and legs flailing comically*  *Sean* WHAT'S GOING ON!?!? *Ecnelis* did you really think a fight for my Master's life would be fought using your little playing cards I think not her life is far to important to be wasted on such a child's game and you think your going to be able to get pass me acting like Street comedian? please your not even Worthy to be in the same room as me....  but Aarya called me out to protect her and judge your worth now Come Show Ecnelis one of the 8 Hopes you have what it takes to be Aarya's Guardian!!  *A Dark Shield Rune Satchel appears around Ecnelis and he pulls out a Black Sword that had the same markings on it as Sean's Rune Gauntlet then Ecnelis lowers his helmet's face shield and one of the eye slits was that of a Rune Circlet, he then draws his sword back and as he pulls it over his Dark Shield and then raises it back in front of him 5 orbs of light encircled his blade* *Sean* Well, what other options do you have to make the fight for Aarya sensible? If her life is more important, why fight for her in the first place? *he becomes Confused and enraged, he look to Ecnelis access her rune some casting strength as he blink and watch her equip her rune casting gear before getting mine ready as they begin to shine in response with 5 orbs hovering* *Ecnelis* ... you don't know what happen to her do you or what's happening now Aarya cant fight for herself if you haven't notice she is in not only a coma but she is being kept alive by me but this fight is very important I am one of her Guardians and I'm here in her Stead because there is only one want to save her and that is for you to ether die or become her Guardian and ta- *she stops talk because she doesn't want him to know the rest*  *Ecnelis* now.. ready yourself child for your end!! Plus i don't care about being guardian, i just want her back you freak in her head! i end my turn! *Ecnelis pulls her next stone onto her sword* *Ecnelis* I'm more then just a voice in her head much more I gave my life up to be her guardian but it looks like ill have to give up more to keep he safe it just  sickens me that your the one she picked to be her next guardian and you don't even care nor want to be her guardian pathetic... *she looks at her stones and she grabs one and throws it onto the field* *Ecnelis* I special call Evilswarm Mandragora and then I Call Sishunder now I Rank -Up Call Number 101: Silent Honor ARK!! in attack stance *Ark appears and looms over Sean*  *Ecnelis* ARK ATTACK HIM SHOW HIM WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GUARDIAN TO THE GRANDDAUGHTER OF THE STARRY EYED DRAGON!! *Ark flies in for the attack* *he Notices Ecnelis ready her field before hearing her spout more nonsense about him being Aarya's guardian and more while being disgusted about him, then scoffs after hearing what she called him*  *Sean* Yeah whatever, I'm not the brightest but I'm not that unreliable about being other people's protector. *he then Notices Evliswarm Mandragora hit the field with Sishunder before blinking and tilts his head, then realizes why as she Xyz summons Ark and he braves against the attack* *Sean* Okay then, let's do this. * He pulls his stone that reacts to her attack the stone turns out to be magic cylinder and it goes off against ark as it attacked direct it back at her*  *Ecnelis shields herself with her shield and it takes the hit from Sean's magic cylinder stone and it dropped her Soul points from 8000 to 5900 she then pulls her shield down and looks back up at him*  *Ecnelis im not down yet BOY!! since you negated my attack with your magic cylinder stone i fallow up action with my double or nothing Rune Stone! Arks attack power is doubled making its attack power 4200 and ARK ATTACK HIM AGAIN!! *Ark flies back over to Sean and readys its attack and fires it at Sean* *Sean* Hah, dropped yo sweet ass to the dirt! *he then hears her soul points drop before noticing her stand tall again before hearing her perform a quick play, he blinks and then swallows hard before noticing his facedown*  *Sean* I Think you forgotten about my monster there. *Ecnelis smiles*  *Ecnelis* who do you think I'm attacking boy? *Ark  flies in and charges up it weapons and fires down onto Sean's hidden monster with its double attack power*  *Sean* Oh, okay then. Just making- *Abysslung takes the hit as Sean guards himself yet no luck as he huff at the feel of battle's realism he thinks to himself* *Sean* "Welp, Shakes off the dust that flew to my direction that's one card gone. Hopefully I'll charge up." *Ecnelis* now I use my Overlay Regen Stone on my Ark to give him a extra soul to use and with that I end my phase.. its your move BOY! *Ecnelis stands more resolute then ever almost like she is enjoying beating the hall out of Sean* *He Notices Ecnelis grant ARK gain an extra overlay unit before starting he turn with confidence* *Sean* Okay, ready to rock as i draw *Sean talks to himself* *Sean*"Hang on Aarya, I'm coming for ya". *Sean* Time to raise the stakes with Abysspike! *He thorws a stone and Abysspike emerges from the stone onto the field and Sean discards a his Abysshilde stone and his Abysspike grabs a Lance and rises it up into the air which calls forth Abyssdine's stone from Sean's pouch and brings it to his gauntlet* *Sean* Up next, Abysshilde! *Abysshilde's orb of light glows as it calls Abyssturge's stone from Sean's gauntlet and calls it out onto the field as he emerged beside Abysspike, this sets off a chain as Abyssdine also is called out onto the field* *Sean* This is why the ocean never wavers, it keeps coming wave after wave without mercy! *Ecnelis only smiles as she watchs Seans creatures cover the field* *Ecnelis* your'll have to do alot better then call out a Fresh Catch of fish to beat me Boy!! *she says as she wipes the saliva coming from her mouth as she thinks about a good fish dinner* *Ecnelis* anyway come at me!! *Sean* It's not the fish ya gotta worry about, it's what will be fed the fish. With that underway, tossing Abyssgunde to grab Abysshilde from the grave due to his ability. With Abyssgunde sent to the grave, Abysslung is coming back due to HER ability. *he Blinks when his sees her drool before chuckling* *Sean* Hey, I'd cook a mean salmon slice if ya got the lemon and pepper. Anyways, time for Abysslung to come back! *Abysslung returns to the field with the help of Abyssgunde, sending ripples upon the waters as he returns* *Sean* Now for the depths of the seas to emerge. With my 3 level 4 monsters out, unleash the tsunami with number 32 shark drake! *Sean's Abysslung, Abyssturge and Abysspike morph into energy outlines before their bodies jump up towards a storm cloud as a heavy rain falls to the ground with the warter from the rain forms into a bipedal sea creature, it then roars as the maroon colored shark stands before Ecnelis and ARK as it stares down at them both* *Sean* Now shark drake, attack! *Ecnelis blushes when Sean catches her drooling* *Ecnelis* S SHUT UP!! your'll pay for that you ignorant hatchling *she then sees Sean call forth his shark drake and hears it roars at her and her ARK* *Ecnelis* t that would make an amazing feast back home OK!
